We decided to write this blog as a way of sharing some of our stories from past experiences fishing, tying flies, guiding, and traveling. Most of which are completely 100% true except for the names of people, some stories are slightly embellished and some are mostly made up. It's really for you to figure it out and for us to have some fun writing down some of the truly good memories we have had while immersed in fly fishing.

Spruce Creek Update (7/2/2012)

Spuce Creek fished very well yesterday morning with a variety of options to choose from to have a successful morning on the stream. I started the morning out using an assortment of terrestrial pattern (ants, beetles, stimulators, etc) and did very well. Then I went down under to catch fish using caddis pupa, scuds, and green weenies.

The trico spinner fall was fun to mess around with but did not result in any significant fish in comparison to what can be caught while fishing sub-surface. If you get some free time, fish Spruce Creek and once you finish there head down the road to fish the Little Juniata!

Below is a sample of pictures from our morning on Spruce Creek. The first picture is of Leigh Elling who caught her first fish on a fly on Spring Creek this past weekend!

Great fish Leigh!
