We decided to write this blog as a way of sharing some of our stories from past experiences fishing, tying flies, guiding, and traveling. Most of which are completely 100% true except for the names of people, some stories are slightly embellished and some are mostly made up. It's really for you to figure it out and for us to have some fun writing down some of the truly good memories we have had while immersed in fly fishing.

Fly Spotlight

Olive Scud

http://www.dsflyfishing.com/fly-tying/olive-sparkle-scud.html
Scuds are all over the rivers in our area and lately the fish have been seriously chowing down on them. The best time to fish scuds has been right before and right after the Blue Wing Olive hatch. But on rivers like fishing creek where the fish haven't really keyed up to adult insects yet, the scud pattern will work all day. I don't know what it is but I have seen more scuds this year than I ever have before. So tie up a bunch of these little guys, throw it with a sucker spawn dropped off the bend and go fishing!
