We decided to write this blog as a way of sharing some of our stories from past experiences fishing, tying flies, guiding, and traveling. Most of which are completely 100% true except for the names of people, some stories are slightly embellished and some are mostly made up. It's really for you to figure it out and for us to have some fun writing down some of the truly good memories we have had while immersed in fly fishing.

Fly Spotlight

March Brown Emerger

These insects are coming off on Penns Creek pretty regularly during the evenings, but not thick enough to really focus on the adult yet. I think an emerger just like this could be the ticket for picking up some big fish. Feel free to substitute out the deer hair wing for CDC as they will both work well.

Recipe:

Hook: TMC 2488 Size 8-14
Thread: Rusty Orange 8/0
Body: Pale Yellowish Tan Beaver
Tail: Brown Z-lon or Darlon for trailing schuck
Wing: Coastal Deer Hair or CDC
